Cardiac-Heart Screenings

 $85 Healthy Heart/Vascular Screening
You could be at risk for Heart Disease or Stroke
so take advantage of our Comprehensive Cardiac and Stroke Screenings.

Porter's Comprehensive Cardiac & Stroke Screening includes:

PAD (Peripheral artery disease) screening
Peripheral arterial disease is caused by a decrease in blood flow to the legs. The risk for heart attack and stroke increases when PAD is present. This screening measures the circulation in both legs to detect the disease.

Echocardiogram (for evaluation of cardiac structure and function)
Echocardiography is an invaluable tool in providing the doctor with important information about the size of the chambers of the heart, the thickness of the walls of the heart as well as the pumping function of the heart.

Carotid exam (for evaluation of carotid vascular disease)
A leading cause of stroke is plaque buildup in the carotid arteries.

AAA (Abdominal Aortic aneurysm) screening
An abdominal aortic aneurysm is an abnormal bulging in a weakened portion of the aorta, and it is potentially life threatening. This screening measures the diameter of the aorta to check for signs of weakening.

Abnormal Heart Rhythm
Single lead EKG strip to check for abnormal Heart Rhythm – Undiagnosed Atrial Fibrillation can cause strokes and lead to heart failure.

LAB TESTS
Lipid screening (for cholesterol levels)
CRP screening (C-Reactive Protein-to screen for risk for heart and vascular disease)
Blood Sugar screening (for diabetes)

To schedule, please call 263.LIVE (5483). Payment is due at the time of your screening. CASH, check or credit card payments only.
