Pediatric Pre-Surgical Tour
For even the bravest child, a stay in the hospital can be a scary experience if he’s not sure what to expect. At Porter, our Pediatric Unit offers a pediatric pre-surgical tour for children who are anticipating a hospital stay. Children who participate in this tour prior to a scheduled procedure often feel more comfortable about their upcoming hospital stay.
Held the first Sunday of every month, this tour encompasses the admission procedure, operating room, recovery room, and Pediatric Department. Individual tours also may be scheduled with advance notice.
