Porter’s Education Department is dedicated to providing Northwest Indiana residents with the information and support they need to make informed health and wellness decisions.
Each month, our Education Department offers free health screenings, such as blood pressure, blood sugar, lung capacity, stroke, and skin cancer screenings, at a variety of locations throughout Porter County and into Jasper County. Our educators regularly present special programs on a variety of topics, including "Hormone Replacement and a Healthy Heart," "Prostate Health Awareness," "Controlling Your Asthma," and "Advances in Alzheimer’s Diagnosis and Treatment."
