Community Health Nurse now at the
Duneland Family YMCA!

We are very excited that we now have a Community Health Nurse at the Duneland Family YMCA.

Laurie Wehner-Evans, RN, MSN, a nurse from Porter, began conducting Health and Wellness Services in Spring 2010.

Laurie provides health care assessments, referrals, resources and education to YMCA members including providing screenings and referrals for health conditions.

Laurie provides health information and health fairs for members, staff, families and the community on various health topics, provides leadership to coordinated health programs and serves as a liaison between YMCA personnel, family, community, and health care providers.
